But not all coves in Mallorca require a long walk or complicated access. Here are five easily accessible coves so that you can make the most of your time on the island.

Caló d'es Moro

We begin our list with one of Mallorca's hidden gems: Caló d'es Moro, located in the municipality of Santanyí. Despite its modest size, with only 100x50 metres, it is considered by many to be the most beautiful cove in Mallorca. And no wonder, with its turquoise waters and white sand, all surrounded by impressive cliffs.

The access may seem a little complicated, but it is well worth it. From Santanyí, follow the signs to Colònia de Sant Jordi and then to Cala Llombards. A winding road will lead you to a car park where you can leave your car. From there, a staircase will take you down to the beach - don't be tempted by the quiet Cala s'Almunia on the way and continue on to Caló d'es Moro to enjoy paradise!

Palmanova Beach

If you're travelling with your family, Playa de Palmanova is an excellent choice. This easily accessible beach is just 10 minutes from Palma, which means you'll be there in no time at all. With approximately 1000 metres of fine sand, it's perfect for children to run and play. Plus, there are swings to keep them entertained!

To get to Playa de Palmanova, take the turning to Palmanova from the Palma-Andratx road. Follow the signs and you will soon be enjoying the beach.

Cala Varques is the unspoilt cove par excellence in Mallorca, located in the municipality of Manacor. To reach this hidden gem, you will have to walk a long way through trees and nature from where you park your car, as there is no road access.

From Manacor, take the road towards Calas de Mallorca and then turn towards Portocristo. After passing the sign for Cala Magraner, you will find a dirt road on the right. Walk about 300 meters, park and get ready for adventure. Cala Varques is a quiet corner far from the hustle and bustle of civilisation, where you can only hear the waves crashing on the shore.
