Five routes to get to know Mallorca by bike

Tramuntana coastal road
Being close to the Tramuntana Mountains, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and other points of high geological and natural interest, our hotel becomes the ideal starting point for embarking on one of the best routes in the southwest of the island: the coastal road of the Tramuntana.

This 110 km route, of moderate level, runs along the west coast linking Andratx, located in the south, with Pollença, in the north, and crosses some of the most charming mountain villages in Mallorca, such as the valley of Sóller, the famous city of Deià, the city of Valldemossa, or the coastal towns of Banyalbufar, Estellenchs, Can Costa, Puig Major (the highest point on the island) or Coll de Femenia.

Lighthouses of Westeros
If you are looking for a quieter walk through the Tramuntana Mountains, at an easy level, we recommend the Faros de Poniente route, whose destination you will find in Sant Elm, located in front of the Dragonera Island Natural Park, an enclave that deserves worth visiting.

The route, 74.5 km long, leaves from Palmanova, just 10 kilometres from Hotel Cupido. This route will allow you to see two of the most important lighthouses in this area: the Portopí lighthouse and the Tramuntana lighthouse on Dragonera island. In addition, you will pass through some mountain passes with beautiful views of the bay and you will cover stretches of coastline through the municipalities of Palma, Andratx and Calvià.

Coll de Soller
This is another of the best routes to get to know Mallorca by bike and one of the favourites, since it is a route through the most paradisiacal mountain roads on the island, on which cars hardly circulate. Coll de Sóller route is of a moderate level, quite steep in both directions, although it is more complicated if you go south, so we recommend starting the route from this part.

Orient and the central region
This route passes through very striking inland towns, such as Santa María del Camí or Bunyola. It is predominantly flat and through it you can climb the Coll d'Honor, the main difficulty of this route due to its steep slope, although after a constant climb along this road, a spectacular descent awaits you passing through Orient until you reach Alaró and return to your point of origin or go to Lloseta, Selva and Caimari.

Route through the capital
Another of the best routes to get to know Mallorca by bike is the one that runs along the sea, and you can take it from Cupido Boutique Hotel, passing through Porto Pi, to El Arenal. The route is predominantly flat, so it is easy, and you will be able to discover the main tourist attractions in Palma, such as the port, while you pedal.
